Frontpage
2000 will give you the following error message when you try to
place the e-mail address of a recipient in a form (i.e. you
want the form information e-mailed to you):
"This
form is being created on a Disk-Based Web or the FrontPage
Server Extensions have not been configured to send e-mail.
Please direct your system administrator or Internet Service
Provider to the instructions in "Setting up E-mail
Options on Windows" or "Setting Up E-mail options on
UNIX" in the Server Extensions Resource Kit. If you do
not have the Server Extensions Resource Kit, you can find it
at http://www.microsoft.com/frontpage/wpp/serk. Would you like
to remove the e-mail recipient?"
Here, they
are talking about the server extensions installed on your
Windows machine. You can configure it to send e-mail, but it
involves editing a text file that looks like win.ini file. Not
exactly fun. As long as you click "No", it will
work.
