The
Family Protection CD is an easy-to-use software program that
provides for entry on a home computer of all information that
could be of use in the event of a missing child emergency,
including all that might be needed by law enforcement
authorities. Completion of the information creates a family
database and allows for the storage of many digital
photographs. (A large amount of information is collected by
law enforcement officials when a child is missing.)
The parent will be able to upload the pictures and information
from the specially formatted floppy disk received at a Digital
KidCare ID event onto
the Family Protection CD software program on the parent's home
computer.
The program will also accommodate digital or scanned pictures
taken by the parent at home in the future or at future Digital
KidCare ID events, so parents can keep their children's photos
up-to-date. Parents do not need a Digital KidCare ID floppy
disk if they buy the Family Protection CD, but the disk is
compatible with the Family Protection CD.
Upon an emergency, a parent will have instant access to the
photographs and data that the police and NCMEC
need, in digital and printed form, and will be able to e-mail
it to the proper authorities.
The Family Protection CD program can compile and print alert
flyers, police reports, blank fingerprint cards (which can be
scanned into the full program once the fingerprints are
obtained), and missing child reports.
