This neat 1972 Comet
belongs to our roving reporter Al Cote and in the photo above
is a frequent chauffer "T". Cote the other half of
our Father & Sons members. This clean Comet was obtained
when the previous owners who happened to be an elderly couple
moved into a Retirement Center after garaging the Comet for a
few years when they stopped driving.
The Comet features factory air that still works, original
brown vinyl bench seats and headliner with door panels all
still in very good condition. The power plant is a 170ci6
cylinder and the paint is a striking yellow you can see.
Al has just been promoted to a new position and doesn't have
much time to attend many car gatherings around the areas but
is still very much attuned to what's going on in the car
scene, especially Mavericks and Comets. The Cotes have a pair
of Mavericks in the family also, one of which just received
new 5-lug wheels disc brakes on the front that would be the
'73 and the '70 is still under wraps for future work which is
undivulged at this time. Rumor has it that a 351 lurks
somewhere in the Cote's garage.
